Youth take step towards club racing at EDYC  17-18 Aug 18

During the Quoile two-day cruiser event – the youth of the club were not inactive.  A step towards club racing was offered to the youth. Following several fun practical training sessions on Friday evenings, two races were held on Saturday.

It was great to see much of our youth present and sailing for our first go at a laid course in Holm Bay. Parents and friends were present and were giving on the water support which greatly encouraged the youth.

Great that our Fevas were out double handed in three boats, a single hander and a Laser. Toppers were also given a one lap course. Lots was learnt for us to follow up on our next Friday evening training.

Thanks to everyone old and new in helping to run this training, keeping it safe and fun. Especially our beach master, rib recovery and mark laying.
