KYC Killyleagh Yacht Club held its regatta on Sat 26July25 on a cloudy day with a moderate westerly breeze which held for the afternoon. The regatta details are hosted on the Strangford Lough Regattas web site – available with this link. Yachts were sent on various courses using the regular lough racing marks and some of the courses are captured in this photo.
The whole lough was very active with yachts and it would have been impossible to capture everything by camera. Here are some photos, mainly of within the large (PY_number) dinghy fleet with a sequence around mark 2.
Larger yachts were not captured on camera but there will be many photos of the event on other outlets. The results will be on the Strangford Lough Regattas web site.
Thanks to all dedicated volunteers who helped make the event happen and to the competitors without whom it would not be enjoyable.
