RYA Level 2 Power Boat course 19th & 26th April 26

The club is now advertising and will run an RYA Level 2 Power Boat course on two Sundays in April. The Sundays will be 19th and 26th April 2026 and the fee will be £160 member and £190 non-member, plus the handling fee of about 2.2%.

The RYA Powerboat Level 2 course is a two-day practical and theory training program designed to equip participants with essential skills for safe powerboating.

The syllabus and quality levels are set by the RYA and full information of this course is on the RYA web site – link – also assisted by some youtube videos.

The course will use all of the club 3 RIBs and a diesel displacement boat and will consist of 8 hours instruction on both days. It will use the shed for teaching plus clubhouse changing and kitchen facilities as appropriate. The entrants will be restricted so that no more than 3 non-members can attend within an overall total of  9 candidates. The club did not offer this course in 2025. To a degree the water activity will be weather dependent.
