The club will start the new year’s training programme by hosting an RYA First Aid course on Sunday 19 Jan 2020.
The course syllabus is appropriate to water based activities and it assists in qualifying for several requirements within the RYA system such as Instructor and safety boat driver. The certificate for First Aid must be renewed every three years (if associated with instruction qualifications).

The local arrangements for the course will be as follows
Attendance times 09:30 to 16:30 at the clubhouse.
Catering – the course will be self-catered, kitchen facilities will be available with access to hot water and a microwave. You are advised to bring your own lunch. Further details will be sent to those registering early.
The fee will be – £60 for members £80 for non members
And there will be – a late payment fee addition of £5 extra if paid after 5 Jan.

The club training programme for 2020 is under development at present, however the 2019 plan is illustrative of how our season runs in terms of training. It is available via this link. Many of the courses will be repeated and a SRC VHF Radio Course may also be one of the first out of season activities.
