End in Sight – the 2021 Sailing Season

The end of our competitive season is in sight for many racers. Our calendar of club races finishes on Saturday 11/09/21. A few will carry on with the Frosties at Strangford Lough Yacht Club (SLYC) (Whiterock). The SLYC Frostie Series is attracting several Impalas. The series starts on Saturday 18th September and will include 5 Saturdays of intense racing as the winter weather approaches, finishing on Saturday 16th October. The Entry Form and Notice of Race can be found in the links on the SLYC web site. Visit https://slyc.co.uk/ for more detail.

Our featured image shows some old hands working at the very end of the slip recovering a trailer – well the slipway end may not be in sight but we know where it is.

The remaining Saturdays in September may attract some own club activity, perhaps some cruise in company or just individual sailing.

Our Youth are to make an appearance at the RYANI Youth Champonship at Carrick 11/12 Sept and we wish them well. It is great to see the parental support pitch in with assistance. About 9 youth sailors will be active.
